Train to Gain

Leadership and Management Grants are a Government initiative to help small to medium organisations, specifically their company directors and managers, to benefit from a non-repayable grant of up to £1000 towards leadership and management development.

 

Option one - £500 funds (no cost to you at all) will enable you to receive bespoke coaching or training tailored to your specific needs.  This is generally for the Managing Director, Director or another person(s) responsible for strategic decision-making to spend on their devleopment. 
Option two -  You can also claim up to £500 for development of other members of staff. You will need to match-fund this pound for pound, i.e. to get the full grant of £500, you need to put in £500 of your own money.

 

This means that there is a total fund of £1,500 available for the development of your management teams.

 

Unlike many providers we run the workshops specifically for your company and design the content to reflect the specific needs; possibly examining some of the following factors:-

  • Vision and strategic plans
  • Development of sales and marketing
  • Managing a business in a resession
  • Improving the effectiveness of the business
  • Exit strategy (if applicable)

Does your company qualify for a grant?

If you meet the following criteria you may be eligible:

  • Company size 5-249 people
  • You are planning on developing your leadership & management skills

There are certain conditions:

  • You have not already been granted funding via Train to Gain's Leadership & Management programme
  • The Training/coaching must be leadership & management related (this also includes Sales & Marketing Training)
  • Training/coaching must be paid for, started and claimed within 3 months from the date that you meet with the Train to Gain L&M Specialist Advisor.
